BACKGROUND  

q       I have been doing Brain Profiles for the past 12 years. I do this work when I am in South Africa and also when I am travelling overseas –  with the help of e-mail.  

q       I work with the concept “Brain Preferences”.  What are Brain Preferences ?  Brain Preferences refer to an individual’s unique combination of strengths and weaknesses. They explain the differences between people, why people think and act in different ways and why some people enjoy and excel at certain things and why others feel comfortable with and achieve at other activities.  

q       Brain Preferences are the building blocks which are used to compile a person’s Brain Profile.

 WHAT DO BRAIN PROFILES DO ?  

q       Brain Profiles give advice and direction with regards to subject choices, career choices and other life-style choices.  

q       A Brain Profile not only confirms a person’s known and existing strengths and successes, but it can also identify a person’s hidden and undeveloped potential.  

q       Brain Profiles give people self-confidence and make them feel good about themselves.  

WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM BRAIN PROFILES ?  

Any person between the ages of 12 to 80, can benefit !  

For Gr 7-12 Learners :

• Are there school subjects that you do not enjoy ? 
• Do you do badly at school and are you failing some of your tests and exams ?
• Do you lack self-confidence and are you unhappy at school ?
• Are you unsure about which subjects to choose for Gr 10-12 ? 
• Do you not know what course to study or which career to follow after school ?

For Students ;

• Are you not enjoying the subjects in your course ?
• Are you failing some of your tests and exams ?
• Are you doubting whether you are studying the right course ?
• Are you not sure if you should continue or drop out of your studies ?
• Do your studies make you feel like a failure ?

For Adults (regarding careers) :

• Are you unhappy in current your job ?  
• Do you feel like a square peg in a round hole in your job ?
• Are you unsure about what your true strengths are ? 
• Do you wonder what else you could do ?
• Are you unsure about what to do with the rest of your life ? 

For Adults (in a relationship with a girlfriend, boyfriend, life partner, fiancée, wife, husband etc.) :§         Would you like to better understand this person in your life ?

§         Do you wonder why this person thinks and acts the way she or he does ?

§         Would you like to know why this person enjoys certain things so much ?

§         Would you like to know why  this person is displeased and irritated by other things ?

§         Would you like to know what you can expect of this person in a relationship ?  

For Families :

• Would you like to understand each member of your family ?
• Would you like to know what each family member’s strengths and weaknesses are ?
• Do you have a family member who is not achieving to her (or his) full potential ?
• Do you have a family member who appears to be unhappy, searching and drifting ?
• Would you like to know how you can improve the relationships within your family ?

For Employers :

• Would you like to know whether someone is the best person for the job ?
• Would you like to understand what makes your employee “tick” ?
• Would you like to know how to make your employee as productive as possible ?
• Would you like to know how to keep your employee satisfied and happy ?

• Would you like to know if you should invest in a certain employee ?

HOW DOES THIS WORK ? 

q       A learner, student or adult completes a Brain Preferences Questionnaire which takes approximately 1 hour. I do the scoring and interpretation and identify  the individual’s Brain Preferences. Thereafter I compile a report of at least  10 pages – it consists of the individual’s Brain Profile, which includes a graph and a page with 4 columns of characteristics, which clearly set out the person’s strengths and weaker areas. The individual’s Brain Preferences are then linked to subjects, careers and life-style choices.  

q       If you would like to have your own or someone else’s Brain Profile done, please choose either Option 1, Option 2 or Option 3 below :  

OPTION 1 : The fee is R450-00.  The individual completes a questionnaire and afterwards receives the Brain Profile of approximately 10 pages - all by e-mail.  The individual will print, bind and read it thoroughly. The report contains all the important information and is easy to understand.  If there are any further questions, please send me an e-mail. This option works very well.   

OPTION 2 :  The fee is R650-00. The individual completes a questionnaire by e-mail and a follow-up appointment, of at least 30 minutes, takes place at a later stage.  At this appointment the individual receives the printed Brain Profile of approximately 10 pages and I personally discuss the results. This meeting also serves as an ideal opportunity to motivate the individual. For Option 2, I have to be in South Africa and it depends on whether the client lives close to me or is willing to travel to see me.   I live part-time  in Stellenbosch (Western Cape) and part-time at Nieu-Bethesda in the Karoo (Eastern Cape).    For me to be able to do a personal feedback, please contact me beforehand to find out when exactly I will be in South Africa. 

OPTION 3 : The fee is R500-00.  If it is closer and more convenient for you, you could work through one of my Cum Laude consultants. I personally do the interpretation and compilation of the Brain Profile and the consultant  looks after the payment, the handing out of the questionnaire and the feedback. There is no cheaper Internet option available if you choose to work through a consultant. Please contact one of these consultants directly :

If you choose either Option 1 or Option 2, you should now follow these instructions :  

1. Send me an e-mail and ask for my banking details.
2. Deposit either R450-00 (for Option 1) or R650-00 (for Option 2)  into my bank account.
3. Send me a scanned copy of your deposit slip or an Internet payment advice, together with your e-mail in no 4.  But if this is not possible, make sure you fill in the exact details at no 4 (ix) below.

4. Only AFTER you have made the deposit, send me an e-mail with the following personal information :

(i)   Name of the person who wishes to be tested

(ii)  Age

(iii)  Language preference (English or Afrikaans)

(iv)  Name of school (if still at school)

(v)   Grade (if still at school)

(vi)              e-mail address

(vii)             Cell no

(viii)           One other tel no

(ix)              Exact amount and date of deposit.  

5.      After the deposit has been made, it could take a couple of days before the amount appears in my bank account. Please be patient. But if after 7 days, you have not heard from me, please e-mail me again. 

6.      As soon as the payment appears in my bank account and if I have also received your e-mail with your personal information [see no 4 (i-ix) above],  I shall send you the Brain Preferences Questionnaire.   

7.      Please confirm by e-mail that you have received this Brain Preferences Questionnaire.  I need to  know whether it has reached its proper destination.   

8.      The questionnaire should be completed on the computer and returned to me as an attachment to cumlaude1951@gmail.com.  I will confirm once I have received the completed questionnaire.
